Last Tuesday I started work at Lambeth Palace, helping Jutta and Ian clean, measure for boxes, and box books from the Sion collection currently taking up shelf space in the stacks at Lambeth. Sion college offered it’s collection to Lambeth and it was accepted under the knowledge that no money was to be spent on its conservation. Instead, they would be cleaned and boxed and sent to a larger storage facility the Church of England Record Centre – CERC. I spent tuesday in the stacks with Ian cleaning bindings ready to be boxed. I’ll be there until mid-Feb when the studio is having its floor replaced.
I am loving it already!
